Actually, there are two ways to follow in order to access your cPanel hosting account.
The first way to access your cPanel dashboard is by typing in the URL bar in your browser the link to your website followed by :2082 or :2083
For example : https://growyourbusiness.tech:2083/
Once you have done that you will be redirected to a login page when you need to enter your GoDaddy’s account credentials and you will be in your cPanel dashboard.
Another way to access your cPanel dashboard is via your GoDaddy account, so first login to your GoDaddy account and then go to web hosting and click Manage and then select your web hosting account that you want to install WordPress on and click Manage again, and then you will be redirected to your cPanel dashboard.
Once you made it to your cPanel dashboard, search for Softaculous Apps Installer or Web Applications and expand that panel and click on WordPress.
Now click the install button on the top left side.
Now you will be redirected to fill out some information about your new website, you will need to fill all the fields in the form and make sure that you write the right domain name with https and http.
One other important thing is that you need to remember the Administrator username and the Administrator password that you enter in the form, because these credentials will be the credentials that you will use to sign in to your WordPress Dashboard.
Once you have completed the form, click Install and wait for a few minutes to complete the installation.
Now that you have completed the installation, go to the URL https://mywebsite.com/wp-admin and in there you will have to enter the credentials that you have chosen in the configuration step.
Congratulations! You have Successfully installed your WordPress website on your GoDaddy account.
SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer is a certificate or a token that helps you encrypt the link between the server you are hosting your website on and the visitor. Its role is to make sure that the data going between a visitor and your web server is totally secure and no one can have access to it.
Installing SSL Certificates is so important for your website because users and search engines will trust your website more, if you don’t install SSL Certificate on your website, there will always be a (not secure) phrase before your link which means users will never trust your site.
SSL Certificates cost you between $30 and $40 if you want to buy from GoDaddy or Namecheap or any other web hosting provider, but the good news is that you can install it for free on your website following some very simple steps.
In order to install a free SSL Certificate in your website you will be using a platform called cloudflare, which is actually a website security company that provides content delivery content (CDN).
Using this platform we will install SSL Certificate for free on our website.
Follow these steps to get your free SSL Certificate.
Just choose the free plan, you don’t need a paid plan to get SSL Certificate.
In this step you need to remove the nameservers from your domain registrar account dashboard (we suppose you bought your domain name on namecheap) and then put the nameservers given by cloudflare, take a look at the following image.
It may take a few minutes or a few hours for the DNS management to be activated on your Cloudflare dashboard.
After a couple hours, refresh the cloudflare page and Congratulations, your website has been successfully added to cloudflare.
Now that you have done all the previous steps, you must have successfully added your website to cloudflare, what you need to do now is to go to SSL/TLS and then choose flexible in the mode selection dropdown and then click continue
This step is the last one and what you need to do here is to redirect all the traffic that comes to your site from HTTP to HTTPS, so choose “Always Use HTTPS”.
In your cloudflare dashboard Scroll down and at the left side you will see “Rules”, expand it and click Page Rules and then click Create Page Rule.
Now what you need to do is to create two Page rules for two URLS “yourwebsite.com” and “www.yourwebsite.com” and for each of them you will need to choose Always Use HTTPS.
Once you have done all of this, the configuration will take a few minutes to be set up.
Congratulations! Your website has free SSL Certificates forever.
